Summer Teen Conservatory

Pre-College Intensive for ages 14 – 18

July 6 – 31, 2026

Monday – Friday | 10am – 5:30pm ET

A rigorous introduction to the Atlantic Acting Technique, Practical Aesthetics, taught at the Atlantic Acting School’s Full-Time Conservatory and NYU Tisch Undergraduate Drama program. Actors will learn to “make the difficult easy, the easy habitual, the habitual beautiful.”

What To Expect

This New York acting conservatory for teens offers a pre-college intensive with a focus on Practical Aesthetics and professional-level training. The Teen Conservatory provides an introduction to the Atlantic Acting Technique through a comprehensive curriculum, challenging students to push beyond their creative comfort zones.

In this supportive and collaborative environment, students will experience rigorous training in voice, speech, movement, and acting techniques. Classes include script analysis/scene study, Shakespeare, monologue, and on-camera techniques. Teens gain a taste of the full conservatory experience while building foundational skills for their acting journey.

How to Apply

AUDITION REQUIRED!

A non-refundable application fee of $25 is due with your application.

For the application, please create a shared Google Drive folder or Dropbox folder containing all of your application materials, containing the following:

  • One Letter of Recommendation (PDF, DOC, or Google Doc)
  • Headshot or recent photo (JPG)
  • Acting Resume (PDF, DOC, or Google Doc)
  • A 500-word essay using the following prompt: How do you envision the Summer Teen Conservatory helping you grow as an actor and deepen your connection to the craft? (PDF, DOC, or Google Doc)
  • Video file of a recorded one-minute contemporary monologue (MOV, MP4, or Link to YouTube)
