Our programs offer a dynamic experience where young actors can play, create, and build lifelong friendships while developing their craft.
In addition to creating characters and scripts, young artists will have opportunities to produce their own work. Each class has a focus that varies from musical theater to sketch, improv, scene study, film/TV and more, but are all rooted in the Atlantic Technique.

Through creative play, interactive sing-a-longs, improvisation, and movement games, participants will create their own original performance piece, inspired by a classic or beloved storybook with a director. Your kids should be ready to have lots of silly fun.

Mini-Musical WORKSHOP

This workshop is perfect for young, aspiring performers who love to sing and dance and who want to be cast in, and workshop a musical. With a special focus on developing characters, actors will work together to create a workshop performance to share with family and friends. ACTING WORKSHOP

This course explores the Atlantic Acting Technique, which is taught at the Atlantic Acting School’s conservatory and NYU programs. Actors will work on a mini-monologue and a short scene with a focus on developing skills of “action” and “moment,” exploring the rehearsal process, and learning to take direction. Actors will learn fun theater games. This class will rehearse a showcase to share with family and friends.

Perfect for the young, aspiring musical theater performer looking to be cast in roles from an adapted musical. ON CAMERA ACTING

Perfect for the student who is looking to gain experience in front of the camera, this class is a wonderful introduction to on-camera work through an exploration of television and film scenes and monologues. The students will begin exploring the nuances of performance as they work on real film and television scripts. The class will require some memorization.

SKETCH COMEDY & IMPROV

Designed to strengthen actors’ creative impulses and their ability to create comedic bits on the spot. Participants will form an improv troupe and create short skits through improv and short writer’s room breakout groups à la SNL. Semester culminates with a final share with family and friends.

Participants will study the basics of Practical Aesthetics, and learn to apply their script analysis work to scripts from TV shows and films. Actors will learn to tackle cold reads and explore how to develop distinctive character interpretations for auditions and on-camera performances. This course offers a dynamic approach to understanding the nuances of acting for film.

YOUNG ACTORS CONSERVATORY
New and returning students join to advance their skills with the Atlantic Acting Technique. Our Young Actors Conservatory program is an excellent way for actors to develop their skill set, gain experience and be part of an ensemble. Drawing from the renowned Practical Aesthetics taught at the Atlantic Acting School’s Full-Time Conservatory and NYU-Tisch undergraduate Drama program, this course offers both fresh insights and deeper dives into Scene Study & Technique. Whether you’re building on previous experience or starting anew, you’ll explore innovative ways to embody characters and tell their stories. Engage in interactive exercises and games that refine your acting skills, connect with your voice, and amplify your creativity. For those opting for the full-day program (11am-2:30pm), a musical theater class follows Scene Study, immersing actors in staging, choreography, and vocal arrangements, all with a keen focus on character development.

A deep exploration of the Atlantic Technique, Practical Aesthetics, taught at the Atlantic Acting School’s Full-Time Conservatory and NYU-Tisch undergraduate Drama program, this course challenges actors to “make the difficult easy, the easy habitual, and the habitual beautiful.” The half-day program (11am-2pm) delves into Scene Study & Technique, Voice, and Movement, providing a robust foundation for aspiring actors. For those seeking a comprehensive experience, the full-day program (11am-5:00pm) expands the curriculum with two complementary classes, enhancing the actor’s toolkit and depth of craft. Dive into specialized classes like our Film/TV Casting Intensive, Classical Monologues, Improv, Devising, Moment Lab, and Audition Technique. Join us on this journey, guided by experienced instructors, as you unlock new dimensions of your acting potential.
