Originally from Mexico, Jonathan Portillo Sáenz began to pursue his passion for the arts at a young age. At 5 years old, he began his career as a singer, performing around the Mexican Republic. He has studied at different performing art schools such as Artestudio Center for the Performing Arts, Argos CasAzul, American Ballet Theater (ABT – Collegiate Summer Intensive), Joffrey Ballet School (Ballet Trainee Program) and Atlantic Acting School Conservatory. Jonathan has appeared on television as a guest singer in concerts for “Desafío de Estrellas” and The 4th Generation’s “La Academia” on TV Azteca. In theater he made his professional debut in the production of Peter Pan The Musical produced by OCESA (Morris Gilbert & Federico González Compeán) under the direction of Jaime Matarredona, in which he was awarded the Best Young Actor award by the Association of Theater Journalists (APT). You can also hear his voice in spanish voice overs for different series and movies such as “The White Queen”, The Intouchables & 21 and Over, to name a few.
