Laura Mock

Laura Mock (she/her/hers) is a pianist, singer-songwriter, and multidisciplinary theatre artist from Bangor, Maine. She graduated from NYU in May 2022 with a degree in Vocal Performance. She is a mezzo-soprano, having studied voice with Tina Burns and Matthew Shepard Smith for 8 years. She has studied piano for 17 years and also plays the guitar and violin. Laura enjoys making all kinds of music from musical theatre to classical to contemporary, and is particularly interested in folk-inspired pop. At school, she worked with groups such as NYU Musical Mentors and NYU Lamplighters, whose missions are to increase access to music and theatre for young children of all backgrounds throughout the city. When she’s not writing music or singing, Laura loves to learn new languages! She is fluent in Spanish and has studied language in both China and the Czech Republic.
