Grant Chapman

Grant Chapman (they/he) is an actor and educator specializing in the skills of voice, speech, and text. Favorite acting credits include the title role in Hamlet at the Alabama Shakespeare Festival, Dr. Manette in A Tale of Two Cities at the Alliance Theatre, and Prior Walter in Angels in America at Actor’s Express (Suzi Bass Award). As an original company member of Seattle’s The Feast, Grant appeared in six seasons, including Oscar Wilde in Gross Indecency, Joe in The TIme of Your Life, Quentin in Small Craft Warnings, Baz in A Bright Room Called Day, and Tom Wingfield in The Glass Menagerie. Other theaters include Classic Stage Co., Trinity Rep, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival, Bristol Riverside Theatre, and Opera House Arts. Grant has helped develop new work with playwrights including Brendan Pelsue, Will Power, and Robert Schenkkan. In addition to Atlantic, Grant has taught at Brown University/Trinity Rep, the Experimental Theatre Wing, Barnard College, and Molloy University/CAP21.
