THE IMPROVISED PLAY (Ages 11-15)
This workshop is designed to strengthen participant’s creative impulses and their ability to create a story in the moment. Embracing the true meaning of ensemble by forming an improv. troupe, the class will explore different “Harold’s” (an improvised short play,) deciding on one and preparing for a long-form improvisational showcase for family and friends.

ONE-ACTS (Ages 11-15)
This course is an excellent opportunity to form an ensemble and put on a show of unique one act plays. Participants will work with directing teachers to rehearse one acts, while being introduced to the elements of the Practical Aesthetics technique, created by David Mamet and William H. Macy. The emphasis of this class is on the actor’s creative rehearsal process and collaboration with a director. Actors will experience the casting process, a first read through for the ensemble, and coaching. Students will explore characters through improvisation and theater games. This class will require memorization and culminates in an invited performance of the one acts.
Thursdays, 4:15pm to 5:45pm

FILM AUDITION (Ages 11-15)
This workshop is perfect for the student who is looking to build skills for film and casting office specific auditions. Participants will explore techniques for on camera for submissions to casting directors or in person auditions. Copy will include monologues, cold reads, short scenes, and improvisation. Participants will work with real film copy to develop audition technique and will be introduced to the elements of the Practical Aesthetics technique, created by David Mamet and William H. Macy. This class will require memorization.
