IMPROV. SHOWCASE (Ages 9-11)
This class is designed to strengthen participant’s creative impulses and their ability to create jokes and comedic bits on the spot. Forming an improv. troupe and preparing for a short-form/games improvisational showcase for family and friends, fully hosted and performed by the students.

P&P ADAPTED PLAY (Ages 9-11)
This workshop is a wonderful opportunity for building fundamental acting skills through the rehearsal of an adapted short play. Students will help to develop their play from source material and explore the actor’s creative rehearsal process. The emphasis of this class is on character research, development, and how an actor prepares. Participants will be responsible for memorization and should come to the group prepared to create, rehearse, and have fun. Family and friends will be invited to a final performance of the adapted piece.

YOUTH SKETCH SHOWCASE (Ages 9-11)
Students will learn classic comedic elements to create a unique sketch comedy showcase with their teachers. Participants will develop their comedic timing, expression, and explore the creative process as both performer and writer. They will write new comic scenes and skits and “fine tune” sketches from previous classes. Students will perform a combination of these original sketches in a showcase for family and friends.

MUSICAL REVUE (Ages 8-10)
Participants in the Musical Revue will learn musical numbers and rehearse short sketches to develop a one act musical revue. Taking cues from the world of vaudeville, the group will source material from classic and contemporary theatrical and cinematic works. Throughout the course of the semester, participants will be coached on the fundamentals of bringing a song to life through choreography and vocal arrangements. Students will be an integral part of ensemble numbers and short sketches, while also having opportunities to learn and perform solo moments. The class culminates in a performance for family and friends.

MINI-MUSICAL (Ages 10-12)
The Mini-Musical Workshop is the perfect program for the young, aspiring musical theater performer looking for additional performance outlets. Participants will be cast in roles from an adapted musical. Throughout the course of the semester, they will bring the show to life through staging, choreography and vocal arrangements with an emphasis on character development. The class culminates in a performance for family and friends. Previous productions include You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown, Peter Pan, Seussical: The Musical, and James & The Giant Peach. Participants will be expected to memorize lines, music, staging, and choreography.
