Cynthia Silver

Cynthia Silver  has been on faculty at Atlantic since 1998, teaching Performance Technique, Moment Lab, and the Business of Acting. Her directing credits include The Rules, by Dipika Guha, with Joust Theatre Company; Cookie, by Chad Beckim at FringeNYC; Uncommon Women and Others, and Melancholy Play with Atlantic’s NYU 3rd year on Atlantic Stage 2;  Shell Shocked: An Evening of Grown-Up One-Acts by Shel Silverstein, and Almost, Maine w/ Atlantic’s NYU 2nd year. Cynthia also directed the short film, Sleep Training, which screened at New Filmmakers NY, and was named a finalist for the 2015 National Directors Fellowship by the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, the National New Play Network, The Kennedy Center, and the SDC. Cynthia’s solo show, BRIDEZILLA STRIKES BACK!, co-written with Kenny Finkle, garnered her much critical acclaim and the Outstanding Solo Show award at the NY International Fringe Festival. She is an ensemble member of Partial Comfort Productions and has appeared in their productions of Ten, KIDSTUFF and Open House (Outstanding Ensemble, FringeNYC). She is also a founding member of the NYC theater company, Mobius Group. Cynthia earned a BFA from NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and is an alumna of Atlantic.
