The Evening Conservatory is designed for the busy New York actor who is looking for concentrated, rigorous training in the Atlantic technique but is unable to commit to a daytime schedule. The program is a 1 year commitment consisting of 2 semesters with the option of a 3rd performance based semester. Students will develop a solid basic foundation in Practical Aesthetics along with professional work habits. Successful completion of all 3 semester allows the graduate to be eligible for the LA Conservatory program. Classes are held in the evening 4 nights a week, 16 hours per week.

A new class commences in February and September of each year.

The First Semester

Provides a concentrated focus on the beginning foundation work of Practical Aesthetics. Emphasizing analysis and playing an action truthfully, moment to moment; students develop new work habits. Students learn the basics of vocal, speech and movement production.

The Second Semester

Solidifies the students understanding of analysis and integrates these new habits with performance technique. Students will perform an exploration on Private Life, which is a structured improvisation that they write, research and perform. The semester culminates in a final workshop performance.

The Third Semester

This optional semester is by invitation only and will challenge the student to apply their training under the pressures of performance. Semester includes an ensemble performance project, advanced scene study, an introduction to Suzuki and Monologue work and Guest and Business workshops. Culminates in a performance of the ensemble project open to the public.
