THE FIRST YEAR provides a solid foundation in Practical Aesthetics. Students gain a full understanding of the process outlined in
A Practical Handbook for the Actor. Through classes in Script Analysis, Performance Technique, Repetition, and Improvisation, students learn how to analyze scripts for playable objectives, develop character through action, work truthfully moment-to-moment, make acting fun, personal and accessible and to apply fundamental elements of stagecraft to their acting. Equally important classes in Voice, Speech and Movement build strength, flexibility, grace, power and expression.
